Summary

WebServ Development has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy. The following discloses the information gathering and dissemination practices for the WebServ Development website.

Integrity is the foundation of everything we do. Therefore, we protect the privacy of our online visitors. No information you share, online or otherwise, with WebServ Development will ever be shared with another third party.

Specifically, we do not allow our mailing or email lists to be rented or used by third parties.

Customer Satisfaction Survey Confidentiality

Because of the significant importance of customer satisfaction survey research, WebServ Development will never collect customer contact information of any kind on its ongoing customer satisfaction surveys without explicit permission from the survey participant. In all cases, survey participants can opt out of providing their contact information or opt out of taking the survey. Such contact information, if it is actually collected, will only be associated with the particular survey for which explicit permission is granted. What this means is that each survey will prompt the participant for their contact information (if it is needed or desired) and any information provided by the participant will only be used as it relates to the specific survey in which they are participating. We will never try to associate identity of participants from one survey to another unless identity information is provided in all surveys being compared, etc. This is our firm policy -- There are no exceptions -- regardless of the wishes of any particular client or survey sponsor.

Client, User, and Visitor Confidentiality in Other WebServ Development Research

For marketing, pre-campaign studies, and all WebServ Development's client research, all clients must give WebServ Development written permission to collect any customer or research participant information.

Upon the completion of research, this information is removed from all computers and stored in locked archival files for both the benefit of the client, as well as possible meta or longitudinal research later. Research participant contact information is never shared with anyone in any way.

In addition, in conducting client and other research, WebServ Development assumes by default that all information collected from research study participants is confidential unless participants themselves proactively give us permission to share their concern specifically with the marketing research sponsor. For electronic surveys, confidentiality is the default answer, and is assumed if participants do not answer the confidentiality question.

Permission-Based Communication

As a matter of upright decency stewardship, our goal is to never contact people by email, regular mail, phone call, visit or otherwise if they do not wish it. To the greatest extent possible, we intend to acquire new clients through word of mouth -- or word of mouse -- referrals.

Information Collection Procedures

The purpose of collecting information about you or your organization is to help you serve your business better, as well as to help the industry in general. It is our policy and practice to only collect information that is essential to helping your business.

The amount of information WebServ Development collects about you is directly proportional to the depth of relationship we have with you.

Consistent with what we recommend to all clients, WebServ Development will only send you emails if you have invited us to do so by expressing interest or need in an area that directly relates to WebServ Development's mission and work.

Client Confidentiality

In both client training and publications, WebServ Development uses the case study approach pioneered by Harvard Business School. However in so doing, your situation will never be shared in a way that can be traced back to your business or organization specifically.

With that one exception, all other client information remains confidential to the same degree you require of your own employees and board members.

Removal From Further Communication

It is the policy of WebServ Development to immediately remove from further communication anyone who requests the same. To be removed, simply reply to any email communication with "remove" or "unsubscribe" (as applicable) in the subject line.

We use your IP address for other purposes. Your IP address and server information are automatically inputted into our website statistics. This information will not be used to contact you in any way.

Cookies

At the present time, the WebServ Development website does not place cookies on your computer. It is our goal to avoid doing this into the future, unless it becomes clear that using cookies will significantly enhance our ability to serve our clients. Should that happen, this confidentiality statement will be updated to disclose that.

In general, websites use cookies to provide context-sensitive information to users -- providing you information about topics you have expressed an interest in the past.

To accomplish this goal in the same way without cookies, WebServ Development uses a simple yet robust navigation system, along with a solid search capability. In addition, we provide numerous ways for organizations to receive free information directly related to their specific needs.

Credit Card Information

At the present time, WebServ Development uses PayPal for all electronic transactions. PayPal is widely recognized as the leading payment processor in the world. Only PayPal sees your credit card information; WebServ Development does not collect or maintain any credit card information.

If orders are phoned in, these are immediately entered into WebServ Development's PayPal shopping cart.
